A dog crate for the car – does that even make sense? Absolutely! Especially when it comes to your dog's safety and comfort during car journeys. The TAMI M dog crate is ideal for medium-sized dog breeds and offers both safety and comfort.
Ideally suited for medium-sized dogs (up to approx. 105 cm from base of tail to muzzle) such as Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Münsterländer, Goldendoodle, Poodle or Huskies.
Material and comfort
Thanks to the innovative drop-stitch material, known from the military and sporting sectors, the TAMI dog crate is extremely robust, durable, and designed for optimal all-around protection for both pet and vehicle, completely without hard materials. The innovative drop-stitch material guarantees stability. Perfect for travel, outings, and everyday use, it offers tremendous flexibility when traveling and car sharing! The large, tear-resistant mesh panels ensure excellent ventilation. Strong eyelets on the bottom of the crate and sturdy straps ensure secure attachment. The zippers can be locked from the outside with the integrated carabiners, preventing the dog from opening them from the inside. The window openings serve as carrying handles. Water bottles, a leash, or a drinking bowl can be stored in the side mesh panel. The TAMI dog crate is water-repellent inside and out and can be completely cleaned under running water.
Security
Why is a dog crate a good idea for the car? Quite simply: it's much safer and more comfortable for your dog than a simple seatbelt or barrier. Abrupt braking or sudden steering maneuvers pose virtually no risk of injury to the dog. It also protects your car from dirt.
Manufacturer's warranty: 2 years
The TAMI dog crate is made from PHATALATE-FREE® certified materials and is free of harmful substances.
The TAMI dog crate is crash-tested. Inflatable walls (air cushions) with an "airbag function" provide all-around impact protection. Should the air escape from the crate for any reason, the TAMI dog crate will remain upright and not collapse, ensuring the dog's safety.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TAMI dog crate foldable?
Yes, the TAMI dog crate is foldable, making it very practical for storage and transport. You can simply fold it up when not in use. With its inflatable walls (4 cm thick air cushions), it offers an airbag function through all-around impact protection.
How do I secure the TAMI dog crate in the car?
TAMI rear seat boxes can be secured using the included seatbelt extender. Some car models differ slightly in terms of the buckle tongue and seatbelt buckle. Unfortunately, we can only supply one version of the seatbelt extender. For variations, please contact your authorized dealer or use the following link for a wider selection of seatbelt extenders: https://www.seatbeltextenderpros.com/
Alternatively, the TAMI backseat dog crate can also be secured in the trunk using the existing eyelets. However, the rhomboid shape should be taken into account. On a flat surface, the crate will appear slightly distorted!
The TAMI boot boxes are attached directly in the cargo area using the included straps and eyelets.
How do I know that the dog crate is the right size for my dog?
To choose the right size dog crate, simply measure your dog from the base of its tail to its muzzle and subtract 10 cm. This measurement should correspond to the width of the selected TAMI backseat crate.
We generally recommend choosing the smallest possible crate, as this reduces the risk of your dog being thrown around inside the crate in the event of a sharp turn or even an accident! Dogs are also spatially adept and should have plenty of room diagonally across the floor. Additionally, the TAMI crate opens at the top, allowing your dog to sit and look out during the journey.
If you are unsure, it is always helpful to lay a blanket on the floor with the inside dimensions of the respective TAMI box and have your dog lie down on it, in order to have a clear idea of the area in front of you.
